A hair dryer is composed of a set of electric heating wires and a high-speed small fan. Below, the editor will introduce the daily maintenance methods of hair dryers to everyone, hoping to be helpful!
Daily maintenance methods for hair dryers
1. When using, it is necessary to first connect the power supply and then turn on the switch to avoid burning the electric heating element due to the impact of instantaneous current.
2. There are three types of switches for hair dryers: seesaw type, push rod type, and button type. Generally, there are three positions: “hot air”, “cold air”, and “stop”. For easy identification, three different colors are usually used. For example, white represents “stop”, red represents “hot air”, and blue represents “cold air”. When in use, you can freely choose according to your needs. If there are devices such as electric motor speed control switches and temperature adjustment buttons, they can be upgraded gradually from low air volume and low temperature. Some hair dryers are equipped with a rotating circular air conditioning hood on the back or side of the casing, which can adjust the air supply and temperature appropriately, but do not close the air inlet too small to avoid damaging the motor and heating components.
3. There are six taboos when using a hair dryer:
Do not let water wet the hair dryer. After washing your hair, be sure to dry your hands with a towel before using a hair dryer;
Avoid using a hair dryer in excessively damp areas such as the bathroom;
The three taboos are to let children use hair dryers to avoid unnecessary accidents;
Four taboos: the hot air outlet should be directed towards flammable materials to avoid causing a fire;
Five taboos: When adding oil to a series excited hair dryer, let the commutator and brush get lubricated.
Six taboos: After using a hair dryer, do not return all switches and buttons to the stop position or do not unplug the power plug.
4. A hair dryer is an electrical appliance that comes into direct contact with the human body. Before use, especially for hair dryers that have been placed for a long time, a test pen should be used to check if the outer shell is leaking electricity. When checking, the selection switch should be turned to the hot air position to make the motor and all heating wires work: then touch the metal part with a test pen. If there is a dark red light on the test pen, it may also be caused by AC induction. At this point, you can quickly lightly touch the outer shell with the back of your fingers. If there is no tingling sensation, it indicates good electrical insulation performance.
5. The continuous use time of a hair dryer should generally not exceed 1 hour. If you want to continue using it, it should be cooled for a while before use.
6. Porcelain and electric motors in hair dryers should not be subjected to strong vibrations and should be handled with care during use.
7. During use, if any abnormal situations such as motor shutdown, lack of hot air, increased noise, smoke, or burnt smell are suddenly found, the power should be immediately cut off for maintenance.
8. After use, all switches should be turned off, and then the power plug should be unplugged. After the hair dryer cools naturally, it should be placed in a packaging box and stored in a dry and dust-free place.
9. Hair dryers should be regularly maintained and repaired, and a small amount of lubricating oil should be injected into the motor bearings every six months. Check if the power cord is damaged, if the connections are loose, and if there is any contact with the housing at the motor contacts and heating element connections.
10. Hair dryers with brushes and commutators should be regularly checked for wear (such as six months), and if necessary, the brushes should be replaced. At the same time, the commutator should be cleaned with anhydrous alcohol to prevent carbon powder accumulation and short circuits.
